An in-progress PvP party game created as a capstone project with Goyangi Games. The game is set in the silent fantasy world of Kalimorn, where the player must type their spells and become the last one standing.
Character Model - Phayu

I created one of four characters in the game, Phayu. As a mage that originally specialized in Plant and Earth magic, Phayu comes from the temperate forests of Menaara. Her clothing is inspired by wrapped garments from regions like Cambodia, as her character uses the Rune markings on her body to channel her magic. The runes on her chin are inspired by the Tāmoko Māori facial tattoos.
The model has around 26k tris and uses 1 material. Currently using placeholder Mixamo animations, Rigging and Animating in progress.
Assisted by our writer Lucas Huang (not related) for region and character background.
ZBrush Sculpt and Wireframe - Phayu
I used Zbrush to sculpt the model, and then retopologized the model in Maya and textured in Substance Painter.

Character Animation - Phayu
I created these animations for Phayu in Blender following a list requested by the Programmers on our team. I then baked and exported the animations for use in the Unreal project.

Character Concept - Phayu
I originally designed Phayu with more of a pale green palette in mind. After feedback at a playtest, we decided to make her model slightly more green to differentiate her from another character who wears white as an Ice mage.

Character Model - Morgen
Modeled after a character concept by teammate Sydney Kim. I created the sculpt in Zbrush and made the scarf in Marvelous Designer, then Retopologized and Unwrapped in Blender, and textured in Substance Painter. See sculpt and base color below.

Head Sculpt - Ior
Ior is an ice mage that comes from a clan of traveling nomads . He's a tanky character that's buff in stature, and the region he comes from is based off of areas in Northern Asia. I sculpted the head in Zbrush to assist in the creation of this character with teammate Sasha Ovod.

Prop - Low Poly Candles
The VFX artist was in need of more lighting sources so I assisted the Environment artists by creating these low poly candles on short notice. I poly modeled them in Blender, created a high poly sculpt in Zbrush, then textured and baked in Substance Painter in around 3 hours with a total of around 300 tris.

Splash Art Banner
I created this banner splash art for use on Steam and promotional materials. I used Clip Studio Paint and Photoshop to paint details over our existing 3D assets and used portions of Creative Commons images to photobash textures into the background. Composition of the poses is based off of work by teammate Sydney Kim and logo was created by teammate Jasper Lin.
